The Akshaya Patra Foundation is an NGO in India that has been supporting education of children by providing nutritious school meals. For the past 21 years, Akshaya Patra has been striving to provide quality, nutritious meals on each school day. By operating in a Public-Private Partnership model, Akshaya Patra has received support from government and several philanthropic contributors who donate to charity. Currently, the Foundation is providing daily nutritious meals to 18,00,907 aspiring girls and boys in 19,039 government and government-aided schools across 14 States and 2 Union Territories in India.
